Meet my new eyeliner love – Revlon’s 2 in 1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner. This wonderful pencil has quickly climbed to the top of my daily makeup loves. It is a dream to use! Read on for my Revlon 2 in 1 Angled Kajal Eyeliner Review!
I picked up this baby in the color Fig. It is a dark purple brown that gives a lovely soft look to your eyes – definition without being harsh! I chose this color because well…I have way too many black liners, and I did NOT need another one!
I absolutely love the formula. The color payoff is tremendous, and the pencil just melts onto my lids like butter, the way I always imagine kajal should feel. There is no tugging or hardness at all, which is something I hate about many kajal kohl liners. The pencil is also shaped into a flat angle, so I find it is very easy to get a nice winged line.
Because it is so buttery, this liner also smudges really well with a pencil brush into a subtle smokey look. The black version of this pencil will definitely smudge into a more intense smokey eye, so I am thinking about getting one. Smokey eyes will be so much easier with this pencil!
This pencil also comes with an angled brush that I actually like using! Usually brushes that come with makeup are garbage. This brush, however, is a thick, dense, and soft brush, and the thickness makes smudging the liner quick and easy.
The one annoying point is that this liner can smudge a little, even though it is waterproof. In my experience, I need to let the eye liner dry for about a minute after application to “lock it down”, or else I will get a bit of eyeliner in the crease of my eye. Sometimes, the eye liner creases even if I let it dry. I guess this problem stems from the butteriness, but that is a point that I love, so I can’t really complain! Also, my eyes are hooded so this may not be a problem for other eye shapes.
Despite the slight creasing, the eye liner stays put for the most part. There is only slight fading of color by the end of the day. I always smudge the eye liner out, so the fading may be less if you choose not to smudge.
All in all, I really love this eye liner. I recommend it, and I plan on repurchasing! Though the eye liner creases a little bit for me, it is not a deal breaker because the formula applies so beautifully and it is easy to use! I will probably try setting the liner with some eye shadow to see if it helps with the creasing.
Have you tried this eye liner? How did you think it compares with other kajal liners on the market?
