If I had to choose a favorite nail polish brand, it would have to be Sally Hansen. They have a ginormous color selection, excellent formulas, the perfect wide brush for sweeping on nail polish quickly and neatly, and they are widely available at drugstores for very reasonable prices. I seriously can’t believe some nail polishes cost $30 dollars. Give me my Sally Hansen, which ranges from about $1.97-$9.99, and I’m 103% certain no one can tell the difference once it’s on your hands.
Anyway, I am currently obsessed with the Sally Hansen Color Therapy line of nail polishes. All of the nail polishes in this line include nourishing oils, like argan and evening primrose, that keep your nails healthy. You supposedly don’t even need to wear a base coat so your nails can get the full benefit of the oils, but I still would if I’m using a dark color. I am currently wearing the Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish in Powder Room and all I can say is YES.
Woops I got some nail polish on my skin… I don’t really care enough to clean it off though. I just wait for it to come off by itself after washing my hands a few times!
I’m excited to say that I am now the owner of Benefit’s Cheek Parade palette. The Benefit Cheek Parade palette was released recently, and I thought it was very pretty when I saw it online. I was most interested in Rockateur and the new Hoola Lite and Galifornia, though all 5 of the shades seem like they would complement pale skin beautifully. However, I have commitment issues with makeup palettes! I’m a firm believer that there are ALWAYS going to be a few shades that I will not use, and then I think it’s wasteful for me to purchase the whole palette if that is the case. Fast forward to today, when I saw the Cheek Parade with my own eyes at my local Sephora… I immediately grabbed it! Even though it’s in palette form, even though I know that I have enough blushes and bronzers that I love, I had a strong affirmation in the core of my gut that the Cheek Parade and I will have a long love affair, and that there is a very good possibility that I will use every. single. color. in this palette! I have always admired the Bobbi Brown brand for its classic taste in makeup. It’s just kind of expensive, but I recently bit the bullet and got some everyday staples that I know I will use and love. Call it my Bobbi Brown essential starter kit, if you will. I purchased two eye shadows, Stone and Espresso, and a blush, Nude Peach, to dip my toes into the brand, and I’m excited to start using them! Read on for my thoughts on Bobbi Brown’s Stone, Espresso, and Nude Peach, especially if you want to start purchasing their makeup too but are not sure what to get!
L’Oreal blushes don’t really seem to get much love in the beauty world. I never hear anyone talking about them. They’re not new or exciting looking. I usually pass by them. Well, start raving about this blush because it is an amazing, cheap drugstore dupe for Nars Madly blush!
