How I Feel About L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara After a Month

If you follow any kind of beauty channel or blog, you’ve most likely heard about L’Oreal’s new Lash Paradise mascara.  EVERYONE was raving about this new mascara and how it’s a dupe for the Too Face Better than Sex mascara, which I’ve never tried.  I managed to get my hands on a tube of L’Oreal Lash Paradise a few weeks after it was released – it was so freaking hard because it was not in any drugstore around me.  I had to order it online from Target.com, which is highly annoying because we see all of the reviews and that it’s now released, but it’s actually nowhere in real life!  I read from another blog that drugstores are releasing new items online first rather than in actual stores to make it more exclusive….but honestly, it’s drugstore makeup.   It’s supposed to be accessible and inexpensive.  Just let the people have it.  *Eye Roll*.  Anyway, read on to see how I feel about the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara after a month of use. ELF Best Friend Eye Shadow Duo and other ELF Goodies

This no-buy I set for myself is downgraded to a low-buy haha.  Obviously, I love makeup, so let’s be real and give makeup a bigger space in my life.  I’m still being careful of the colors and products I choose.  It’s all about that balance 🙂  Anyway,  I recently ordered some things from ELF, and I am so excited about them because they seem really good for us pale princesses.  I’m probably most excited about about the new ELF Best Friend Eye Shadow Duo because the colors look promising and duos are easy and quick to use!  Read on to see my thoughts.

Essence Rock’n’doll Crazy XXXL Volume Mascara Review!

Today I wanted to review a mascara I have been using – the Essence Rock’n’doll Crazy XXXL Volume Mascara.  When I saw this new mascara, I decided to give it a go because the words “Crazy XXXL Volume” is right up my alley.  I am always looking for volumizing mascaras because I LOVE voluminous lashes.  It was also a sweet, sweet $4.99 at Ulta!

Best eyelash curler for asian eyes

I have found the best eyelash curler for asian eyes!  What has worked best for my hooded, asian eyes is the Shiseido eyelash curler.

Curled eyelashes really open up the eyes and make your lashes noticeable.  I went for the longest time without curling my lashes though because curlers just did not fit my eye shape!  I had difficulties getting a good curl and with pinching. Ouch!

Even the Shu Uemura curler, one of the most recommended curlers for asian eyes, just wasn’t quite doing what I wanted.

Well, no more!  The Shiseido eyelash curler  has made a world of difference.

Best eyelash curler for asian eyes: Shu Uemura vs. Shiseido eyelash curlers

Compared to my Shu Uemura curler, you can see that the Shiseido’s curve is much flatter.  The flatter curve allows it to fully rest against my eye and curl all of my lashes from the very bottom. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve felt what proper eyelash curling is supposed to feel like until I used the Shiseido curler.

With the flatter shape of the Shiseido curler, I also have experienced less pinching as well, thank goodness. (though I still need to be careful haha).

Everyone’s eye shape is different of course.  Both of these curlers are supposed to be great for the asian eye shape, but the Shiseido just works better for me!  I’ll be curling my lashes all the time now 🙂

If you have trouble with your eyelash curler, and you have a flatter eye shape like mine, I suggest you check out the Shiseido curler to see if it works for you too!

Have you tried a lot of eyelash curlers? What has worked for you?

All products mentioned were purchased by myself.  All opinions are my own.
