Use Up That Makeup! June Makeup Basket and Progress!

Wow June is here.  Can we please just stop? Anyway, it’s time for another edition of Use Up That Makeup! The June Makeup Basket and Progress pictures!  Read on to see some nice dents I’ve made in my makeup.

First things first – the progress pictures for a few products in my May Makeup Basket.  I’m pretty proud! *puffs up*

Use Up That Makeup Makeup Forever Water Blend and Milani setting spray

There is so much more empty space in my Makeup Forever Water Blend foundation in just one month’s time as you can see from the progress marks.  If I only had this foundation, I estimate I could use up a new foundation in 5-6 months.  Buying one foundation two times a year sounds like such a good idea right now, especially when you’ve found your HG foundation!

I also made good progress on my Milani Make It Last setting spray.  I would definitely repurchase when I finish it and my other sprays.  It makes my makeup look better and more luminous, although I’m not sure if it is meant to be luminizing.  It smells lovely.  The nozzle also sprays amazingly – very fine, wide, and strong.

I will keep on working on the setting spray but will switch out the foundation for June.

Use Up That Makeup Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey

My fragrance for May also shows noticeable use.  In the original picture, the liquid was at the top of the sticker.  Now it’s at the top of the “Jo Malone” letters.  I was debating whether I want to draw progress marks because I don’t want my perfumes to be marked up.  I will continue to use this in June because it’s a delicious, fruity yet sophisticated scent for the summer.

Now for the makeup I want to focus on for my June Makeup Basket.  There are a lot of boring repeat products that I won’t mention but am still working on (like the Rimmel eye brow pencil that won’t go away). These are just the products I am switching in:

Eye Shadows:  L’Oreal Colour Riche Pocket Palette in Boudoir Charme, of course! I may do a project pan on this quad just to see how long it takes me to finish an eye shadow from when it is brand new.

Eye Primer:  Milani Eye Shadow Primer.

Pencil Liner: Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Smokeout.  This was included in a mini UD Vice eye shadow palette I got from Sephora using points years ago and have since decluttered.  I only recently realized how nice this pencil is!  They don’t sell this shade anymore it seems.

Liquid Liner:  Physicians Formula 2-in-1 Eye Booster liquid liner in deep brown.

Use Up That Makeup Hera UV Mist Cushion Nude

Foundation: Hera UV Mist Cushion Nude.  Honestly, I haven’t had much luck finding Korean makeup products I like despite their booming popularity.  I quite like this one so far though!  I got the refill cushion earlier this year rather than the pricey “complete” one that comes with a compact.  I just wanted to see what the product was like and wasn’t willing to pay for the complete version unless I love it enough to repurchase!  I think I will do a review on this cushion at the end of the month.

Powder:  Maybelline Fit Me Set + Smooth powder in Porcelain.  It actually looks like I’m making some progress!  If you tilt it, you can see the pan rings underneath the powder beginning to show.

I see some rings! Please please please let me hit pan on this soon!

Use Up That Makeup Physicians Formula Butter bronze and mineral glow pearls

Bronzer: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light.

Highlight:  Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent.  LOVE. THIS. STUFF!  I have smoothed out the bumps a bit in the center of the pan through use.   Hopefully I can hit pan there sometime this year.

My June Makeup Basket is pretty drugstore and Physicians Formula heavy!  PF do have some lovely products, even if they are expensive for the drugstore.

And here is the general look I’ll be sporting for June!

Blah hair, don’t care
